I loved book one of the seasons series and I can’t wait to move on to the next instalment! If you are looking for a historical romance that has family loyalty, love, and of course passion then look no further! This had a great mixture and I couldn’t put the book down!!!I’m always on the lookout for new authors who are talented and whose writing keeps me glued to the pages! Jess Michaels fits that bill perfectly! She [...]

    2. 3 StarsOverall Opinion: I feel like this one had a lot of potential, but it sadly was just kind ofh. I get their lust and there were some pretty good sexy times, but I wanted more romance I guess. I also felt like their conflict was kind of stupid after a while. The h also turned into a stupid, horny puddle whenever the H so much as looked at her! That is definitely one of my pet peeves for hs, because I like the strong willed females that use their brains as well as their sexual prowess!Brief S [...]

    3. Happiness for this reader, is snuggling up on my sofa with a Jess Michaels title and being dazzled by the story and the sleek sensuality in everything this talented author writes. An Affair in Winter is no exception and an impressive beginning to her SEASONS series. On her way to her sister's wedding, a Winter storm disrupts Rosalinde Wilde's travel and she takes shelter at an inn where the widow meets a striking stranger who rocks her world with an impassioned night of forbidden lovemaking.Grays [...]

    4. I ate this book up like a ice cream sundae on a hot summer day and it was delicious. Oh my god! Jess Michaels has written another book that I fell absolutely in love with. I have read 20 of her books including this one. I have my favorites but An Affair in Winter is probably my absolute favorite. It is filled with a sweet and steamy romance and the perfect blend of loveable characters, layers of conflict and the perfect amount of drama to make this one of the juiciest romances I have ever read. [...]

    5. **I received an eARC of this book from NetGalley and the publisher in exchange for an honest review**4.5 starI really enjoyed this story - I LOVED Gray - he is not perfect, but he is wonderful. He loves his family and will do anything to protect them, even when they don't think they need protection.Gray is bound and determined to break up his brother's engagement to a "title grabber" , his brother has been hurt before by such a woman and Gray doesn't want him to go through that type of pain agai [...]

    6. Originally reviewed at My Devastating Reads This new release by Jess Michaels sounded too good to pass up. The cover was delicious, the premise sounded entertaining. I love a good romance with heat and humor, and this one promised both. I had never read a thing by this author before, but being a huge fan of historical romance, I could not pass up the opportunity to read this novel. And I was not disappointed. I was delighted. The novel opens up with our heroine Rosalinde travelling in the midst o [...]

    7. Jess Michaels has been on my radar for quite a while but I’ve never had the opportunity to read one of her books. Her writing style favors a more sensual and steamy Historical Romance but it also conveys real emotional connections for the main characters. The first release of her new Seasons series – An Affair in Winter – was the perfect chance to jump into her books and discover what I’d been missing. The rough roads and the terrible weather are playing havoc on Rosalinde Wilde’s journ [...]

    8. I love Jess Mickaels! I love the fact that I know when I pick up her books that I'm going to love them. This book did not disappoint! Lord "Gray" Grayson and Rosalinde "Mrs. Wilde" Fitzgilbert have both been through hell. After watching both his brother and sister almost loss their lives because of marriage Gray wants no part of that. Gray has vowed never to fall for a woman. Rosalinde and her sister were raised by their mean spirited, vile controlling and manipulative grandfather. Who never had [...]

    9. I didn't quite feel the connection to the main characters as much as I have reading other books in the series, but I still wasn't able to put the book down before the last sentence, the writing is just so good! For more romance reviews, check out my website: katherinasbooks.wordpress

    10. I completely loved this book! Rosalinde Wilde, a widow, is on her way to her sister's wedding to the Earl of Stenfax when she gets caught in a terrible snowstorm. She and her servants take refuge in a small inn, which is overflowing with travellers also seeking shelter from the storm. There, she meets a Mr. Gray who allows her to share his dinner table in the crowded inn. One thing leads to another and they spend the night together. The next day, Rosalinde meets Stenfax's family, and is shocked [...]

    11. An Affair in Winter (Seasons Book 1) by Jess Michaels is a fantastic Erotic Historical Romance set in Regency England. A wedding, sexual distraction, impending nuptials, a possible disruption of a wedding, what a combination! Oh did I mention a snowstorm, and a night in an inn? Meet, Widow Rosalinde Wilde, sister to the bride and Grayson Danford, brother to the groom. Neither know who the other one is, when they meet in the inn. But they find in instant connection, and sparks fly, true and passio [...]

    12. 4 stars. I really enjoyed this. Couldn't put it down. A winter storm has stranded Rosalind and Grayson. The two spend the night together, knowing that it'll only be one night and both go their separate ways. Only to realize later that day that Rosalind is the sister of Gray's brother's betrothed. There is a lot of backstory with all these characters and it makes their present so much richer. Celia and Lucien don't have a love match, they are both getting something from the marriage. Lucien gets w [...]

    13. Rosa Wilde is on the way to meet up with her sister when weather stands her at a local inn. There she spends the night in the company of a man that she knows only as Mr. Gray. Imagine her surprise to arrive at the estate where her sister is about to get married and find that he's the brother of her sister's fiance. And he doesn't want the two to get married. This book was a mixed bag for me. I liked the two main characters and quite a few of the secondary characters. I think the author did a gre [...]

    14. ARC Review: An Affair in Winter (Seasons) by Jess MichaelsAn Affair in Winter is an epic love story. A passion shrouded in secrecy, a wedding arranged by a spiteful, scheming, power hungry man and the hidden secrets he holds within his grasp lead to explosive revelations. Ms. Michaels has crafted a love story that mixes spice with emotion. Like a jigsaw, piece by piece she reveals more about the driving force behind each character. Rosalinde was a person who wanted to be loved and not treated li [...]

    15. Really enjoyed the first two thirds of this book but then I started to skip read through the last third as I felt the ending was a bit of an anti-climax.Will carry on with the rest of the series once they come out as I'm a fan of Jess Michaels books & have enjoyed quite a few of her previous releases. *ARC received from Netgalley*

    16. I am rarely disappointed when I read a Jess Michaels story. Rosalinde and Gray made a wonderful couple and not in the traditional titled lord and virgin heroine. There was a great depth in their characters and they both had some flaws but they brought out the best in each other.Very sexy enjoyable HR.

    17. Actual rating: 3.5 starsI had mixed emotions with this one. I enjoyed the story as a whole, but at times I found it on the boring side. When put down, I didn't always want to pick it back up. But overall, I liked the book and plan to read the next one in the series.

    18. MAGNIFICENT!This was a very intriguing story . A new twist to an old storyline. But usually parents realize their mistakes and over indulge their grandchildren but this man was crazy. But I feel it had a Great ending and can't wait for Celia and Stenfax story .Enjoy

    19. BEAUTIFUL LOVE STORYLove Jess Michaels' books. I just wish she would put them on Kindle Unlimited so I could read them all. Her books keep you enthralled. You will not want to put this book down.

    20. 3.5-4 seductive starsThe heat takes off early, and doesn't cool down. As with most historical romances the story is a bit predictable. I still enjoyed reading it, and look forward to reading more of the series.

    21. Light on plot, heavy with the wordsYou will read every thought backwards forwards and inside out. Way too much telling. The plot was just lame and I actually got so bored I skipped through the sex scenes!

    22. Fast readFast fun reading. I always enjoy reading books by Jess Michaels. Her books are always well written and you can visualize the. Characters as she brings them to life.

    23. You know what you are going to get with JM, this is no exception. A great steamy romance that's worth the read.

    24. Who would have thought a one night stand between two good looking and available people would lead to so much drama and hand wringing and so much more smouldering.

    25. Another fabulous historical romance by this author - well written and so interesting that I needed to finish it in one go. Looking forward to reading the next one in this series.

    26. An excellent well written romance! Brothers and sisters solve a problem and there is a happy ending! To say more would spoil the story. Read and enjoy!
