    1. This is an incredibly powerful and moving real-life portrait of Cuba and the daily struggles of the Cuban people, as seen through the eyes of a courageous and dedicated American woman and her Cuban friend Tesseo. The author tells a heart felt story with real life heroes, packed with reality and objectivity. It pulls you in immediately and holds you until the end. It is a sad but triumphant book to read! The author, Regina Anavy, gives her Cuban friend, Tesseo, that second chance we all deserve. [...]

    2. this is one of the best books I have read so farI loved it. It is not the classical escape story from Cuba, the drama in this book comes from the every day life in Cuba. It makes you learn a lot about the Real meaning of the Revolutin and how they can manipulate a whole contry into believing something that is so far away from the truth. I recommend it completely!!! hope you enjoy it as much as I did!
